    QFE to QNH Conversion

    Edited: Oct 28, 2018

QFE is air pressure at the current ground level. It’s used to cause the altimeter to register height above the ground (for a certain area). When sitting on the ground at an airport, dialing QFE into the altimeter will cause it to display zero feet.

QNH is sea-level pressure. It’s used to cause the altimeter to register height above sea level. When sitting on the ground at an airport, dialing QNH into the altimeter will cause it to display the airport’s altitude above sea level.

Divide the airfield altitude in feet by 30 to get the number of millibars above MSL. Add this to the QFE to get QNH or subtract it from QNH to get QFE.

For example, the airfield elevation is 200 feet. Dividing by 30 gives us 6.66r. The QFE is 1023. Add 6.66 to get 1029.66 and round up to 1030 millibars, which is the QNH.

      FSAirlines Client Issues

Good evening! FSAirlines seems to be crashing X-Plane. Does anyone here have Xplane/FSAirlines knowledge? or should I go to FSAirlines' forum? was 17mi out from my destination airport and the game crashed because the FSA Client switched from "descent" to "cruise" as i leveled out for approach. Hopefully someone can help me.

      GSX and EZdok

Occasionally, you may encounter an issue where the EZdok camera seems to override the controls when you are editing vehicle locations with GSX. You may notice that you aren't able to enter slew mode, and it most likely has to do with your aircraft. Try to enter slew mode to move your aircraft around the airport. If it doesn't allow you to by pressing the Slew Mode on/off key (Y or whatever key you've assigned), that is the issue you will need to resolve. In order to resolve it, reload your aircraft, and try to enter slew mode again. You should now be able to move your aircraft around with your slew keys. Now try to edit your vehicle locations with GSX. EZdok should no longer override the controls. EZdok commands should disable when slew is activated. The GSX vehicle location editor uses slew mode to edit the vehicle positions. If you aren't able to enter slew mode, then you will be unable to edit those vehicle positions, but EZdok will work as normal. That's why it will seem as if EZdok is overriding the controls. The problem isn't either GSX or EZDok, but the fact your aircraft isn't allowing you to enter slew mode. I've found this to be an issue will Carenado (unknown reason... possibly open doors) and Black Box Simulation aircraft (when ground power is connected).
